I Want To Help You Get Buy-In
I am announcing the launch of the #GetBuyIn Program, where I will coach leaders and teams on the strategies and tactics I have learned to be helpful in getting buy-in for breakthrough ideas and innovation programs.
For over a decade now, I have been working with leaders and teams in established companies, helping them build their capabilities to innovate for the future, while they run their core business.
This has been a tonne of fun and also very challenging.
At the beginning, I enjoyed figuring out the technicalities of how a company with a successful business can bring in lean startup, design thinking and agile practices. My most enjoyable collaborations on this topic have been with Alex Osterwalder and Holger Nils Pohl.
In my time at Strategyzer, I have been a part of teams that have put in place innovation tools and processes, trained and coached teams, run innovation sprints and worked with leaders to set up the right governance structures.
But over time, I have formed a very strong conviction that figuring the technical aspects of innovation is not enough. The biggest challenge I have faced in my work has not been technical but human.
My biggest challenge has been around getting people to buy-in!

While the innovation toolbox is relatively easy to understand, the challenge people face is around how to bring innovation to life in their day to day work. There is some distance to travel between running workshops and implementation.
As a psychologist, I knew that getting buy-in was important. However, my energy and focus was always on the innovation program. I only dealt with the human challenges around getting buy-in when they came up. This was also true for the leaders and teams I worked with.
But what if we worked on getting buy-in with the same focus and systematic approach that we bring to innovation?
What if we created a Strategyzer methodology for getting buy-in?
Simple, visual and easy to use.
Helping leaders and teams get buy-in will now be the focus of my work.
I am going to give more attention to helping you get buy-in for your breakthrough ideas, innovation programs and transformation initiatives.
I am going to be writing articles every week with tools and tips on getting buy-in, which you can follow by subscribing to my newsletter.
I am also going to be posting videos every week on my YouTube channel. These will be fun takes on the challenges of getting buy-in and how to overcome them.
